BenefitDesk is committed to protecting the personal information of our clients and their representatives in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Information we collect
We collect and process personal information relating to employer group clients, their HR representatives, trustees, and members, including names, contact details, scheme information, and records of our interactions and advice.
How we use it
Personal information is used solely to provide employee benefits broking and practice management services, to meet our regulatory and compliance obligations (including FAIS and related requirements), and to communicate with clients about their schemes and renewals.
How we protect it
Access to personal information is restricted by role, with consultants able to access only the clients assigned to them. Information is transmitted over secure (HTTPS) connections and stored with appropriate safeguards.
Your rights
Data subjects have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their personal information, and to object to its processing, subject to our legal and regulatory retention obligations.
